Welcome to Italy. Upon arrival, we will meet our tour conductor and transfer to our hotel. Dinner, relax, rest and get a good night sleep.
Day 3: Rome
After breakfast, we will drive through Capitoline Hill, Roman Forum, Coliseum, and Arch of Constantine, Circus Maximus, Old Appian Way, and Palazzo Venezia. Today, we will tour three major Basilicas in Rome: St Mary Major (one of the oldest basilicas dedicated to the Blessed Virgin, after she appeared to Pope Liberius in 358 requesting a church be built in her honor. This shrine contains a relic from the Manger where the Infant Jesus was laid); The Basilica of St John the Lateran (the former residence of all the popes prior to their return to Rome in 1377 – official church of the Pope); St Paul Outside the Walls – houses the remains of St. Paul under the main altar. Celebrate Mass here. We will have our lunch nearby the Trevi Fountain after we visit the Holy Steps. Dinner and overnight in Rome.
Day 4: Rome
After breakfast, we will depart for the Papal Audience with Pope Francis (depending upon his availability) in the monumental St. Peter’s Square and see the Basilica of St. Peter in Vatican City. Afternoon is free time in Vatican City. You can visit the Sistine Chapel on your own or see the Vatican museum. Dinner and overnight in Rome.
Day 5: Rome
This morning, we will drive to the pilgrimage center of Assisi, where St Francis tended the poor and sick and founded the Franciscan order. We celebrate Mass at the tomb of St Francis. Explore the quaint hilltop birthplace of St Francis, which still retains an unspoiled quality like the early 1200’s when he began his Ministry. Visit 13th-century Basilica, see many of his possessions and a series of frescoes depicting his life. Continue to St Mary of the Angels Basilica, where St Francis spent most of his life. Here we visit the Chapel, Portiuncola, the rose bush, and the cave where the saint retired for prayer. Dinner and overnight in Assisi.
Day 6: Assisi & Nice, France
Today after breakfast, we will drive to Nice through the scenic road with stops on the way for lunch and comfort room. Dinner and overnight in Nice.
Day 7: Lourdes & Nice, France
We will continue our drive to Lourdes. Check in at our hotel and celebrate the Mass. You may attend the candle light procession at 9:30 in the evening after your dinner.

We will tour Fatima and see the Basilica, site of Francisco’s and Jacinta’s graves, the Hamlet of Aljustrel, where the children lived; and Valinhos, the site of Our Lady’s appearance after the children’s return from prison. We will then follow the Stations of the Cross along the Via Sacra (The Sacred Way) built by Hungarian refugees and end in the Chapel of Calvary, which overlooks all of Fatima. We will join pilgrims from around the world in an evening candlelight procession to pray the Holy Rosary. Don’t forget your white handkerchief for the ‘Adios-Farewell,’ when thousands of pilgrims wave a loving farewell to the statue of Our Lady of the Rosary. Dinner and overnight in Fatima.
