Day 1: USA- WARSAW, POLAND
Departure from your hometown airport to Warsaw, Poland.
Day 2: WARSAW, POLAND
Upon arrival at Warsaw International Airport, we will transfer to our hotel and meet our tour guide. Dinner and overnight in Warsaw.
Day 3: CZESTOCHOWA-WARSAW
After breakfast, we will travel to Czestochowa, site of Poland’s greatest pilgrimage shrine, Our Lady of Czestochowa. St Pope John Paul II, frequently visited Jasna Gorna Monastery, known as the Shrine of The Black Madonna. We will celebrate Mass at the Pauline Monastery and pay homage of the sanctity of the holy treasures within, including the Miraculous Icon. Dinner and overnight in Warsaw.
Day 4: WARSAW – KRAKOW, POLAND
We will have a city tour of Krakow, which includes a visit to the old town to see Cloth Hall, the Basilica of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the famous Wawel Castle which houses the Cathedral where the Polish Monarchs are buried. Lunch and free time at your leisure. You may join an optional tour to see the famous Salt mine of Wieliczka, Poland. Please refer to your group leader.
Day 5: KRAKOW, POLAND – DIVINE MERCY-WADOWICE
After breakfast, we will visit the Convent of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy where Saint Faustina lived and was buried. We will take part in the devotion to the Divine Mercy at the chapel of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in Lagiewniki. Afternoon we will drive to Wadowice, the town where John Paul II, the first Polish Pope, was born and spent his youth. We will visit the antique church and the Pope’s home.
Day 6: KRAKOW, POLAND – PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC
Today, we will drive to Prague, Czech Republic, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Freetime. Dinner and overnight in Prague.
Day 7: PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC
We will begin our tour of beautiful Prague right after breakfast. We will celebrate Mass at the Church of Our Lady Victorious and visit the celebrated Shrine of the Holy Infant Jesus. We will visit the Old Town by way of Golden Lane and then to Lessor Town to see the medieval Charles Bridge adorned with many baroque statues. We will see St Nicholas Church, the Astronomic Clock, and the Prague Castle district where we tour St. Vitus Cathedral, St George Basilica, Loreto Church, Strahov Monastery, and Wenceslas Square. Dinner and Overnight.
Day 8: PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC- SALZBURG, AUSTRIA
We will continue our journey to Austria to visit the Salzburg Cathedral, the Getreidegasse (pedestrian zone), the market and Mozart’s home.
Day 9: SALZBURG, AUSTRIA – SCHWANGAU, GERMANY – ZURICH, SWITZERLAND
After breakfast, we will check out of our hotel and drive to Neuschwanstein Castle, Schwangau, Germany. Enjoy a guided tour of 19th-century Romanesque Revival palace on a rugged hill above the village of Hohenschwangau near Füssen in southwest Bavaria. We will continue our journey to transfer to our hotel. Dinner and overnight in Zurich, Switzerland.
Day 10: ZURICH, SWITZERLAND
Today, enjoy a free day in Zurich. You may go on a city tour, shopping or simply sleeping.
Day 11: ZURICH, SWITZERLAND – OBERAMMERGAU, GERMANY
Today, we will enjoy the highlight of our tour – the world-famous Passion Play. The residents of Oberammergau, Bavaria, Germany, vowed that if God spared them from the bubonic plague ravaging the region, they would produce a play thereafter for all time every 10 years depicting the life and death of Jesus. In the afternoon and evening, we will be watching the performance of the play, with excellent, pre-reserved seats. Almost half of the inhabitants of the town perform in the play on the large open-air stage.
Day 12: MUNICH – USA
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to USA.
